It was a safe space for education and dialogue around government, political processes and policies to reinforce the importance of their voice and vote. The program also educated on the importance of participating in the 2020 political process and pursuing careers in politics. 

Most recently, as Covid-19 has impacted programming across the country and police brutality has been at the forefront, the Greater Wayne County Links partnered with law enforcement to have a virtual conversation with young people on how to safely engage with the police. The chapter also walked them through the process of registering to vote and garnering an absentee ballot in order to amplify and exercise their civic rights.
